Top 10 Countries Hiring Kenyans For Job

SiasaDaily conducted a data crunch on the National Employment Authority Integrated Management System, the state’s foreign job listings platform, and found that the government had shared around 300,000 job openings worldwide that are aimed at Kenyan workers.

Cooks, housekeepers, drivers, and receptionists are among the lower-cadre occupations; senior banking officials, the director of finance, and the head of procurement are among the higher-cadre jobs.

After searching the website extensively, my colleague Nyamasyo Kioko discovered that Saudi Arabia accounted for over ten times as many job openings as the second-most popular country, Lithuania.

Saudi Arabia, Lithuania, Qatar, Turkey, Poland, the United States and Canada, the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, and Slovakia are the top hiring nations, according to a data crunch.

The job listings support President William Ruto’s objective of promoting Kenya’s labor force globally in an attempt to reduce the nation’s long-standing unemployment rate.

Since the beginning of the year, the Head of State has committed to negotiating over two million employment for Kenyans in various distant nations, including Germany, France, Russia, and Canada.

He mentioned that during that time he had negotiated over 100,000 successfully in Germany and many more from other locations.

However, the first application call was held earlier this year, with 2,500 Middle Eastern nursing positions up for grabs.

February 5 saw the departure of the first group of 500 workers from the Ministry of Labor to Saudi Arabia, Oman, Germany, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Hussein Mohammed, the spokesperson for the State House, had stated in January that 300,000 positions were expected to become available in Germany, Israel, Serbia, and Russia.

He disclosed that in addition to other white-collar positions, the jobs span the construction, agriculture, and service sectors and are anticipated to open in March.

According to Statista, the unemployment rate in Kenya is 6.19 percent, meaning that 1.64 million people out of the country’s 26 million workers are unemployed.

With a mark-up of 176,000 slots, Saudi Arabia topped the list of open positions. It was followed by Qatar (1,303), Turkey (1,025), and Lithuania (1,375).

The Czech Republic (280), Germany (170), Hungary (165), Slovakia (150), United Arab Emirates (100), Great Britain (50), and Serbia (50) are among the other foreign nations that employ Kenyans.
