Kevin De Bruyne, the anchor of Manchester City’s midfield, shot to the top of the list in April 2021 after agreeing to a long-term contract extension at the Etihad Stadium.

The 32-year-old has contributed significantly to the team’s success over the last five Premier League titles and is perhaps the most significant addition to the roster during Khaldoon Al Mubarak’s ownership.

     2. Erling Haaland (Manchester City) – £375,000

In the summer of 2022, Erling Haaland signed a five-year contract with Manchester City, making him one of the highest-paid players in the Premier League.

For Pep Guardiola’s team, the Norwegian sensation has been breaking scoring records left, right, and center. Thanks to a respectable goal bonus, he frequently receives additional credit.

     3. Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) – £350,000

In the summer of 2022, Mohamed Salah re-signed a three-year contract with Liverpool, making him one of the most paid players in the Premier League.

The Egyptian forward has contributed significantly to the Reds’ success under Jurgen Klopp and is currently the team’s all-time top scorer in the Premier League.

    4. Casemiro (Manchester United) – £340,000

Although Casemiro has excelled, some questioned Manchester United’s decision to pay £60 million for the 31-year-old midfield player and give him a long-term contract. It might be said that those doubters were justified.

Despite the expense, the former Real Madrid star signed a four-year contract with the possibility of an additional season, which is expected to be exercised.

     5Varane (Manchester United) – £340,000

In the summer of 2021, Manchester United made a raid on Real Madrid to acquire center-back Raphael Varane and the World Cup winner was offered a lucrative four-year contract to move to Old Trafford.

Given that he is regarded as one of the best defenders of the past ten years, it is not shocking that the 30-year-old is among the highest-paid players.

       6. Raheem Sterling (Chelsea) – £325,000

Raheem Sterling, a former forward for Liverpool who moved from Manchester City to Chelsea before the 2022–2023 season, has played for three of the major teams in the nation.

At a cool £47.5 million, the 29-year-old was one of Todd Boehly’s first significant signings at Stamford Bridge. He has a deal with the Blues that runs until 2027.

      7. Jadon Sancho (Manchester United) – £320,000

The long-running Manchester United chase of Jadon Sancho culminated in a £73 million agreement with Borussia Dortmund before the 2021–2022 season.

After a falling out with Erik ten Hag, the England international returned to Dortmund on loan, with the possibility of one more season, he has yet to reach the heights he did in the Bundesliga.

      8. Enzo Fernandez (Chelsea) – £315,000

Following Enzo Fernandez’s impressive performance for Argentina at the Qatar World Cup, Chelsea paid a Premier League record £106.8 million for his services in the January 2023 transfer window.

Under Todd Boehly, long-term contracts have been signed by new arrivals at Stamford Bridge, and Fernandez is no exception; his contract runs through the summer of 2031.

      9. Jack Grealish (Manchester City) – £300,000

In the summer of 2021, Manchester City paid a then-British record £100 million to sign Jack Grealish from Aston Villa.

Signing a six-year contract, the most expensive English player in history was essential to City’s treble-winning season in 2022–2023.

   10. Rashford (Manchester United) – £300,000

Although Marcus Rashford has fluctuated in performance over the past several years for Manchester United, the England player is one of the finest forwards in the Premier League when he is at his best.

The 26-year-old is close to the top of the list of Premier League earnings, and his pay reflects just that.
