Duale tells off state officers over Ruto’s Criticism.
According to Duale, for one to be a decent leader, one must always respect authority, especially the presidency, regardless of the position one holds in government.
He insisted that it is the only way they can also get respect from other people.
“A decent and God-fearing leader must respect those in authority and more so the presidency which is a symbol of national unity.
Politicians abuse the president, we’ve seen other people abuse the president. If you want to be respected by your wife, husband, or children and everybody else we must first show respect,” Duale said.
The CS called on Kenya Kwanza leaders, especially those who seem to have broken ranks with the President to continue supporting him as he delivers his agenda to the people of Kenya.
Duale also said cautioned them against contradicting the position of the presidency on various issues affecting the country.
He insisted that they must all work together to deliver on their mandates.
“I ask Kenya Kwanza leaders, all of us were with the president, campaigned with him, committed ourselves collectively to the manifesto of the president today you cannot hold a position in government and contradict saying it is the president alone to deliver, no.
Let all of us deliver the people of Kenya,” the CS said.
Duale added that the challenges the country faces do not belong only to either side of the political divide but to all Kenyans.
He noted that the incorporation of opposition politicians into government was to have all sides of the political divide working to solve the issues affecting the country and offering permanent solutions.
“The problems of our country are not for the government or the Opposition alone. All of us in the ruling party and the opposition have one job, which is to solve the problems of Kenyans.”
He spoke in Londiani, Kericho County on Friday when he presided over the 47th graduation at Kenya Forestry College.
