‘Sell out!’ Kasmuel McOure Blasted For Not Condemning Morara Kebaso Attack, Sides With MPs
He is also being chastised by Kenyans for what they perceive to be a bias toward the ruling class.
McOure also appears to be in bed with the government and out of touch with the disenfranchised Generation Z that he claims to represent.
Not long after, Morara was violently ejected from the Bomas of Kenya hall, where he had been attacked by an angry mob.
Nonetheless, Kasmuel took the microphone to express his thoughts on the Gachagua impeachment.
Many had expected Kasmuel to first and foremost address the Morara attack, condemning the perpetrators and expressing sympathy for his fellow young activist.
Instead of condemning the perpetrators of the Morara ambush and outright denouncing the senseless violence meted out to him, Kasmuel turned to the politics of the day.
The flipflop appeared to be speaking the same language as the members of Parliament.
Without wasting time, Kasmuel went into full Kasmuel mode, waxing lyrical about why Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua should resign.
He never once mentioned that President William Ruto, whom he has been fighting tirelessly against, should also resign.
As he spoke, Ruaraka MP TJ Kajwang stood behind him, proudly smiling as if witnessing his own son’s academic excellence.
“Gachagua must go!” Kasmuel roars. “Ndio tumalize ukabila Kenya, ndio tumalize shareholders, ndio tumalize siasa ya kuchanganya watu, Gachagua must go!”
Dagoretti South MP John Kiarie, who is seated directly behind the podium, can also be seen clapping and nodding in response to Kasmuel’s proposals.
Soon after the video went viral, many Kenyans took to their X accounts to criticize the activist, calling him a sellout for failing to articulate issues that matter most to the average mwananchi.
“Kasmuel went on that stage and spoke the language of our oppressors. He spoke just like them. He sounded just like any other Kenyan MP.
Is this the same dude we went to the streets with? Oh, how quickly people change!” Stephen Mutuku wrote.
Someone else said, “Instead of addressing the Morara Kebaso situation, Kasmuel went there to politics.
He claims to represent Gen Z and young Kenyans and still couldn’t spare a minute for Morara. Sellout!”
On his part, Morara’s lawyer Pareno Solonka said, “Kasmuel is a sell-out and you now realize why him, kina Tarus and so many yappers here have been fighting Morara. Morara is the only young person WHO HAS NOT BEEN BOUGHT AND IS STAYING TRUE!”
Even popular content creator and chef Dennis Ombachi chimed in too, saying, “N*gga was the next guest to the balcony. I dodged a bullet but at what cost!”
Kasmuel was speaking at the Bomas of Kenya auditorium, where a public hearing on the Gachagua impeachment is currently taking place.
