Wetang’ula Is Here To Stay Says Sakaja
Speaking during a church service in Khwisero, Kakamega County, Sakaja said there are no such plans against Wetang’ula saying he is here to stay as the Speaker.
He told off those he claimed were eyeing the seat, saying they should end their thought.
“I was worried when I heard propaganda about Wetang’ula, Wetang’ula is here to stay as the speaker of the National Assembly,” Sakaja said.
“Wetang’ula is there to stay as our Speaker. Those dreaming about his seat should stop. We should not be a country that always brings people down.”
He thanked acting interior CS Musalia Mudavadi for what he termed as leading the way and being close to the President.
Rumors about an alleged plot to oust Wetang’ula as the speaker began soon after the impeachment of former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua.
