Ruto Condoles With Koskei After Sister’s Death
The President said Koskei’s sister has left a legacy of women’s empowerment, strong values, and service to society.
“We are deeply saddened by the passing of Mrs Esther Chebet Rugut, sister of the Head of Public Service, Mr Felix Koskei. Mrs Rugut was a dedicated leader in her community, who left behind a legacy of women’s empowerment, service, and strong family values. Her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her,” Ruto said.
“Our heartfelt condolences to Koskei and the entire family during this difficult time. May her soul rest in eternal peace.”
Koskei announced his sister’s death in an emotional post on Facebook saying she has left behind a great legacy.
“Fare thee well my dear sister Esther. We celebrate your legacy of women empowerment and shall abide by your wishes as we lay you to rest tomorrow,” Koskei said.
First Lady Rachel Ruto joined leaders and Kenyans in wishing the family of Koskei strength as they lay their sister to rest.
“Our heartfelt condolences to Koskei and the entire family. May you find comfort and strength as you mourn the loss of your dear sister, Chebet.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you,” Mama Rachel said.
Koskei said that his sister Esther Chebet is set to be laid to rest on Wednesday, December 18, 2024.

On behalf of the President, the office handles communication with ministries, state departments, and agencies regarding the daily operations of the government.
