The meeting is scheduled to take place at 10 am.
Police probe deaths
Detectives in Nairobi are probing five separate death incidents reported to authorities.
The incidents were reported in Kasarani, Kitengela, Isiolo, Jamhuri, Kibera, and Nyamira.
Police described the incidents as sudden deaths but added investigations into the same are ongoing.
The first incident was reported in the Kiwanja area, Kasarani on Tuesday evening where a body was found under a tree.
Kanja is expected in court.
Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja and DCI Mohamed Amin are today expected to appear in court to show cause why they should not be cited for contempt.
Both Kanja and Amin were last month ordered by Justice Diana Kavedza to produce six suspects who were allegedly abducted in December 2024.
The orders had required that the victims be produced before court on December 31, 2024, but that did not happen.
As such, Justice Bahati Mwamuye directed that they attend court today to show cause why they should not be cited for contempt for failing to heed the orders.
The judge said it was clear that the IG and DCI did comply with the orders of the court.
So far, the victims Ronny Kiplagat, Billy Mwangi, Peter Muteti, Bernard Kavuli, and Kelvin Muthoni have been released.
Only Steve Mbisi remains uncounted for.
