Ruto To Critics You Won’t Sabotage My Development Plan
Ruto who is on a three-day extensive tour of the North Rift region, noted that his administration has made tremendous progress in its development programmes across the country.
Speaking in Uasin Gishu County on Friday, the President said Kenyans ought to know the country is making progress.
“The progress Kenya is making will not be sabotaged by saboteurs who are against the progress of our nation,” he stated.
Ruto’s administration has come under heavy criticism, especially from the youthful generation.
The Head of State has in turn asked to understand that they can never look down on their country.
On Friday, Ruto named rural electrification as one of the development agenda.
“In the next three years, we will be connecting one million ordinary Kenyans under the rural electrification program. Here in Uasin Gishu, we have committed Sh1.8 billion to connect 20,000 households in the area,” he stated.
“And it is not just in Uasin Giushu alone, it is a program for the whole country which we must fulfill because we made a commitment.”
On Thursday, Ruto announced that Kenya’s economy is stable, following two years of focused reforms since he assumed office in September 2022.
Speaking in Elgeyo Marakwet, Ruto exuded confidence in the performance of the economy.
Ruto stated that over the past two years, efforts have been focused on stabilizing the economy, which according to him is now stable.
He emphasized the importance of continued collaboration to address challenges and build a better Kenya while discouraging retrogressive politics.
“We have spent the past two years fixing the economy. I am glad our economy is now stable. We will keep working together to address our challenges and build a better Kenya. This is not the time for retrogressive politics,” Ruto stated.
