Allow Government To Serve, Kabogo Tells Off Mt Kenya Critics
Kabogo insisted that the government of the day exists to serve all the people of Kenya.
He told off a section of leaders who had said that he should not have accepted the offer to join President William Ruto’s Cabinet.
Kabogo questioned why they did not tell him what he should have done before the President gave him the job.
“What we are saying as people of this region is that we should be cognizant of the fact that government should serve us and we must allow government to serve us.
“You cannot come and tell us not to work with the government. What will we eat? You are telling me that I should not have accepted to work in this government, why didn’t you come and tell me what we should have done when I was at home?” he posed.
Kabogo spoke after attending a church service at the Covenant Renewal Service at PCEA Mukuyu Parish in Ruiru.
The Cabinet Secretary added that some people have been criticizing the same administration they are seeking services from, and this should not be the case.
He stated that while they criticize the government, they must be aware that it serves through people.
Kabogo further said that the time for politics will come and the people of Mt Kenya must plan, lest they remain on the noise-making side of the political divide.
“I am called to serve the people of Kenya, not Kiambu. You are seeking services from the same government you are throwing stones at the Government should serve all Kenyans but remember it also serves through people. Give the government a chance to serve.
“Politics will come in 2027, which is too far. We the people of Mt Kenya should wake up now. We should not just be running and shouting. If we don’t plan ourselves, we will remain in the noise.”
